Code Blue Season 2: (My) Drama Review

Code Blue Season 2

Unlike Season 1, this season is filled with more operations (that means more scalpels, cutting, blood and confusing medical terminologies) and hardships for the 4 flight doctors in training:

from season 1 to 2, Aizawa-sensei is still doing amputation ^_^ ironic isn't it?!?!
Aizawa Kosaku (Yamashita Tomohisa) - after knowing the truth about the real reason behind the death of her mother and meeting up with his father (whom he was told to be dead years ago), he begins to learn important lessons from his patients and to understand the reasons behind every lies.

even the smartest doctor has their own weaknesses --> family.
Shiraishi Megumi (Aragaki Yui) - unable to forget the past and still blames herself on the amputation of the right arm of their former mentor, Kuroda Shuji and to add it all up her father has been diagnosed with lung cancer.

Ganbatte Hiyama-sensei!! After all the trouble and hardships, I know you can do it ne~
Hiyama Mihoko (Erika Toda) - worried about her heart condition that may affect her job as a doctor. Later on, she became scared to treat and trust patients and starts to question her credibility as a doctor.

i've always admired Fujikawa-sensei's optimistic personality ^_^
Fujikawa Kazuo (Asari Yosuke) - having insecurities about his medical skill/knowledge and still comparing himself with others.

The drama portrays the hardships, troubles, and concerns for both the doctor and the patient. The sad truth about death and how to overcome it. The real world of the lifesaving department. Lots of lessons to learn and meaningful quotes/lines to ponder for everyday's life and misery.

My favorite line:
"There are no miracles in the world of lifesaving and there is no doctor who doesn't hope for miracles" ~ Aizawa Kosaku

Next on my watch list "Juui Dolittle", another medical jdorama but this time its focused on saving animals.. I don't know why but I just feel like doing a marathon for medical jdoramas... even though I don't like injections, drills, ER, scalpels, and any medical equipment that goes into the skin yet i don't mind watching lots of blood dripping and gushing out of the body, amputations, and operations.. its fine just watching it but not to actually see it in real life.. X(

Juui Dolittle (starring Narimiya Hiroki, Oguri Shun, Inoue Mao)

Synopsis: (DramaWiki)
Tottori Kenichi is a foul-mouthed but gifted veterinarian nicknamed Dolittle. His catch phrase is 'pet care means business'. He is the director of his animal clinic and rescues not only 'voiceless' pets but also helps their owners, who lack understanding and caution, with their problems and worries. Working with him is animal nurse Tajima Asuka. Hanabishi Masaru is Dolittle's friend, a charismatic vet and host of a popular TV animal show who is good at making diagnosis but has a secret as he could not overcome his phobia of operating on animals. The drama focuses on the friendship between those 3 and tries to teach viewers about human-pet relationships.

  1. hi!I am glad to be the first to comment...I love with medical dramas especially this one, code blue. Though there is no romance in this drama, but the plot, all the medical stuff & how the characters is being more matured in every episode is all enough to attract me to watch this. They impressed me with all the challengers & hardship of becoming a doctor (Yeah!it is not easy to b'come a doctor). It can't help but this sort of drama makes me appreciate every single doctor in this world. Sorry for my long-gibberish talks.
