My Marathon \m/

Nope! i'm not going on a race its all about SHOWS and MOVIES =)) ^_^
Recently, I've been really busy with work (T.T) and believe me (sometimes) its driving me crazy (o_0) too much stress that is.. so to relief me from my stress i've been watching a lot of shows before going to bed...for TWO reasons: (1) to make me sleepy, and (2) to forget things about work (and other stuff) and relax while gettting myself deeply focused on what im watching whatever genre it is -- romance, comedy, action, bloodlust killing, horror,  drama, movie, anime.... and so on.

Anime and Live-Action Movie: BLOOD, The Last Vampire
Just from the title itself you definitely have the idea what the movie is all about ^_^ for more details about it go here ---> Blood: The Last Vampire (Anime) Review. The site pretty much showcases a very good review
about the anime and gives its readers the grasp of the story. Though the writer suggested to watch the anime first before watching the live action version, it was different with me. i haven't even seen the anime version but im already done watching with the live action.. XD though its filled with BLOOD splaterring all over the place, the fight scenes were ok (not that great but errr.. ok you'll know what i mean if you watch it ;p) I also didn't expect Koyuki to be in movie as well.. Watching her in a role of a villain is something new to me since im so used seeing her in sweet innocent roles like in Kimi Wa Petto (with Matsumoto Jun) and The Last Samurai (with Tom Cruise).

Anime and Live-Action Movie: The Last Airbender
My little brother loves watching this anime and thanks to him i got to know Aang, the Avatar. When I first heard about it having a live-action movie, I told myself that i'm gonna watch it as soon as it hits the theaters. Apparently that didn't happen and it took me a year before i was able to watch it (thanks to torrent!) and can't wait for the movie's sequel (which is still under negotiation). In the movie Aang discovers he is the lone Avatar with the power to manipulate all four elements (Air, Water, Earth, Fire) but unfortunately before his training to master the Water element even got started he ran away. The movie revolves around the story of the Water Element considering it as the first chapter of Aang's adventures, Book 1: Water.

Regarding the sequel here's an excerpt from Wikipedia:

While there has been much speculation regarding a sequel, no official announcement by Shyamalan or Paramount Studios and Nickelodeon has been made regarding the "go-ahead" or whether the plug will be pulled on the trilogy. While filming The Last Airbender, Shyamalan mapped out a rough draft for a second film that is "darker" and includes Azula, portrayed by Summer Bishil, as the main antagonist. In a July interview with New York Magazine, Shyamalan commented "In the next few months we’ll be able to know whether we have that opportunity or not" when asked about the sequel. No such announcement was made and in a September interview when asked when the sequel will be made, he replied, “I don’t, because there are so many factors they take into account” adding, ”I guess it will get into an area where it becomes a discussion — like pros and cons”.

Even though the film is the 16th highest grossing film of 2010, I'm thinking the reason behind it might be because of this:
The Last Airbender received nine nominations at the 31st Golden Raspberry Awards including Worst Picture. The film went on to sweep the Razzies with five awards: worst picture, worst director (Shyamalan), worst screenplay (Shyamalan), worst supporting actor (Jackson Rathbone as "Soh-ka"), and a new award, "Worst Eye-gouging Misuse of 3D." ~WIKIPEDIA
Spy Girl

Plot: (wikipedia)
A group of students run a website devoted to the girls who work at their local Burger King. When Ko-bong falls head over heels with new girl Hyo-jin, he promptly posts some pictures of her on the internet, and before long she becomes something of a local celebrity. However, little does he realize that his would-be girlfriend is in fact a North Korean spy who is trying to keep a low profile.

This romantic comedy korean movie is entertaining to watch. Hyo-jin is not your typical "Spy Girl". She's cunning, innocent and newly proclaimed "Angel" by college boys because of her irresistable charms.  Recommended for those who are looking for action-comedy film with a kick of romance. ^_^
