Katsu Curry!! Itadakimasu!

I've been craving for KATSUDON for a week now and its my turn to cook.. so i decided why not make one?

I checked the ingreadients online for making katsudon and some of it is not available here in the US.. I almost give up when i remembered another favorite japanese dish that i like CURRY!! Most of the Jdramas i've watched always have curry on it like in Kaibutsu-kun and Ryusei no Kizuna. Even one of Yamapi's entry in his nikki is all about him eating curry..

Mouth-watering Curry... yummy!! and i still want to eat katsudon but actually i realized that the one i really like was the tonkatsu or pork cutlet in the katsudon.. hahaha finally i made up my mind and decided to just combine the two and the result Katsu Curry!!

Ninomiya Kazunari finally makes his appearance on “Tensai Shimura Doubutsuen”

The equation is pretty simple for Ninomiya Kazunari fans: Ninomiya + cute puppies = the best Christmas present ever.

Broadcasted on December 25th, the Arashi member swept hearts with his guest appearance on “Tensai Shimura Doubutsuen“, an animal variety show. Ninomiya was the only group member who had yet to appear on the show.

For his segment, he went to go look for some adorable baby animals with the female comedian duo, Harisenbon.

Final Fantasy’s “Dissidia 012 [duodecim]” unveils a new trailer!

As a special holiday treat for their fans, Square Enix released a five-minute long trailer of their newest “Final Fantasy” title, ”Dissidia 012 [duodecim]“. This latest edition to the game series is actually a prequel to the 2008 RPG fighting game, “Duodecim Dissidia“.

Mizushima Hiro’s “KAGEROU” reaches a circulation figure of 1 million!

On December 28th, Poplar Publishing announced that Mizushima Hiro’s debut novel, “KAGEROU“, had reached a circulation figure of 1 million! Published under Mizushima’s real name, Saito Tomohiro, it took the book only two weeks to reach that astonishing figure, since the book was officially released on the 15th.

An event for the upcoming movie “Ashita no Joe“, which is a live-action adaptation of the legendary boxing manga, was held on December 17th, and Yamashita Tomohisa (NEWS), who plays the main character, Yabuki Joe, and the director of the movie, Sori Fumihiko, showed up at the event.

Hollywood star Kiefer Sutherland made an appearance on Arashi’s variety show, “Arashi ni Shiyagare“, which was broadcasted on December 11th.

Aiba Masaki got to meet Mr. Jack Bauer on the “Michi tono Sougu Shiyagare” corner, in which an Arashi member gets to learn a special skill from the guest. Kiefer came on to instruct Aiba on how to achieve a godlike body like his, and told him, ”Today, I came here to try to help you out with that, we can put you through a couple training sessions if you would like.”

I missed to watch  NTV’s “Best Artist 2010″ (because of work T_T). It was held on December 15th at Makuhari Messe in Chiba.

Aiba Masaki’s upcoming drama “Bartender” to air a special pre-show!

Arashi’s Aiba Masaki is headlining a new drama based off a popular comic series called, “Bartender“. Although it will start broadcasting on February 4th, it’s been recently revealed that a special pre-show will air on January 14th. The pre-show, which is not a prequel to the drama, merely follows Aiba as he tries to learn more about how to enjoy alcohol from various “Alcohol masters” in the entertainment industry.  One of the “Alcohol masters” will be Shimura Ken, who is personally close to Aiba (they co-starred together in “Tensai! Shimura Doubutsuen“); Ken will teach Aiba the mature way of enjoying alcohol.

Mizushima Hiro’s debut novel “KAGEROU” has been netting increasing interest after it was discovered to have won the prestigious “Poplar Publishing Grand Prize for Fiction” award. The book already became a bestseller in terms of pre-sales alone, with over 430,000 copies purchased before it became available. Yet malicious rumors have been floating around that Mizushima’s literary achievements were all based on his previous life as a famous actor.

Matsumoto Jun receives “VOCE BEAUTY AWARDS 2010″ for his Fasio CM!

Arashi member, Matsumoto Jun has received the “Best Beauty CM Award” for his Fasio “Mascaliner” CM!   This award is a new section for the “VOCE BEAUTY AWARDS” which is organized by VOCE (beauty magazine) to choose the best cosmetic products of the year.
On December 7th, Matsumoto appeared at the awarding ceremony stating, “When I first got the offer, I thought I would have to be disguised as a woman.  Although I’m surprised to receive this award, I am also very honored.”  He also stated that the reason why his CM received the award is that it was very fresh idea to appoint a guy for a cosmetic CM.

Mizushima Hiro’s debut novel, “KAGEROU”, experiences explosive pre-order sales

Mizushima Hiro will be releasing his debut novel, titled “KAGEROU“, which received the prestigious “Poplar Publishing Grand Prize for Fiction” award on December 15th, and it’s been reported that the novel has already received over 400,000 pre-orders. According to a person from the publishing industry, that number is extremely high, especially nowadays when a new writer’s book that receives a rookie award usually gets 4000~5000 copies sold for the first edition.  The person also said that “KAGEROU” is sure to be a bestselling novel.
Mizushima’s agency commented, “Not only us (people from his agency), but Mizushima himself is also very surprised to hear that, and we also appreciate that it will be read by many people.”
