"Deka Wanko" is originally a manga by "Gokusen" creator Kozueko Morimoto. The comedic series revolves around a rookie detective named Ichiko Hanamori (played by Tabe), whose exceptional dog-like sense of smell is used to solve difficult cases, in addition to earning her the nickname of "Deka Wanko."

I guess the love team Tegoshi Yuya x Tabe Mikako didn't work out that well in this drama mainly because there were no chemistry with the two characters. Although in some parts of the drama Kiri-san (Tegoshi Yuya) showed a little love interest towards Ichiko (Tabe Mikako) from time to time it didn't have enough spark with the viewers. The drama mainly focus on the main character's lolita fashion and strong sense of smell to solve police cases. Even though it has a trivial detective plot and some scenes were kind a boring, Ichiko's cute lolita fashion and sniffing act was entertaining plus the charming Kiri-san made me finish the drama till the end. ^_^

Although it didn't left a profound impression to me compare to the other jdoramas that I've watched still I am proud to say that this drama received three of the best awards from the Television Drama Academy Awards.
